Frequently Asked Questions

Our charges are calculated dependent on the type of business or individual as well as the volume of work required to do. Certain discounts can be applied in particular circumstances. If you would like to get a quote, get in contact with us and we will assess what is required and give you a firmer idea of the charges.

We try to work to a 5-week average turnaround time. During the busier periods of the year it can take us a little longer due to the volume of work we have in. The sooner we receive your books after your end, the better – don’t leave things to the last minute!

For most typical jobs we will require the following paperwork from you:

– Invoices of all sales and purchases

– Bank statements

– Previous year’s Tax Return or any tax calculations

– UTR number

– Personal details (e.g. contact number, address, NI number)

Depending on the nature of what you need doing, we may require further information to help us, but we will request this as and when it’s necessary.

Of course! We don’t just cater for businesses, we help individuals too. You may find that due to income derived from rental income, pensions and dividends etc you are required to complete a Tax Return – if this is the case, get in contact and we will help you.

We often communicate with HMRC on our client’s behalf depending on the circumstances. These communications can vary from phone calls, letters or emails.

Not at all. If you would like to come in and have a chat with us about your accounts just pop by and we will do our best to help you. Alternatively, get in contact with us via the contact form on the main page, or the chat function at the bottom of the page.

Yes, we are. We ensure that our client’s data is treated with respect and do everything in our power to make sure it is always securely obtained, used, stored and disposed of. If you have any queries relating to our Data Protection policies, please see our Privacy Policy on our website.

If you are a VAT registered company, or are soon to become one, then MTD very much affects you. As of April 2019, all VAT returns must be submitted through specific online portals and will no longer be accepted through the Government Gateway. MTD will then expand to encompass Corporation and Income Tax during 2020. More information on MTD and our solution to it can be found on our Making Tax Digital page, alternatively, get in contact with us via the form on the main page.
